The tool DossierCreation is a very powerful instrument to create ideas and policy papers. On the way, for concepts, e-depots and all stops in between, you control who adds, changes and deletes and what they add, change and delete.

In practice, DossierCreation is used a lot by policy officers, in making a dossier with the in-build editor, or in importing documents from, for example, a case system.

Cooperating in and outside the organisation

In DossierCreation, a dossier grows and grows until it is finalised for action during a meeting. Parlaeus has knowledge of the extended system of roles and rights, including an approval system. Because of that, the process can be perfectly in balance with the wishes and the procedures of the organisation. Also, it is possible to share documents with third parties from other organisations and to ask them for feedback. This way, working together will become a lot easier in both internal and external ways, without losing safety.

Clerks with the correct authorities can see which dossiers are in process in an early stage. It also works the other way around, as policy officers, as the composers of a dossier, can easily see how the proposal has been dealt with in a meeting, even if the meeting took place a few days ago.

When a dossier is ready to be discussed, it can easily be connected to the concerning agenda’s. The participants of the meeting can share their notes with the secretary or the policy officer, who can quickly process the notes in the dossier.

Clever use of existing materials

Starting with existing dossiers, pieces of text can easily be re-used in other documents. We try to prevent unnecessary typing work by re-using as many standard texts as possible. This applies to pieces of text that occur in many documents as well as to dates and job listings. In the delivered text editor, you can indicate whether the text block has to be available for more than one purpose.
